Mo Collins ( Mad Tv, 40 Year Old Virgin) brings her stand up to Tampa!!!
Mo was born and raised on the dairy and lake trout in Minnesota. She started her improv and sketch career with Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop in Minneapolis back in 1985. From there she flew south to Orlando in the late 80’s to open both the MGM theme park and Comedy Warehouse on Pleasure Island. Mo packed her bags and her son and headed to Los Angeles in 1997 where she landed Mad Tv. She was with the Fox show for 6 seasons giving birth to many unforgetable characters such as Lorraine, Doreen Larkin (Stuarts Mother) Trina and many more. Mo is also known for her impressions on the show perfecting her Jenny Jones, Cher and Shakira, and many more. Post Mad tv, Mo built her credits up with hit shows such as Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Californication. She also created memorable moments in films such as 40 Year Old Virgin (as “Gyna”) and Knocked Up. Mo currently resides in Los Angeles with her beautiful teenage son, a three legged cat, a washed up rockstar and a sexy mormon. They call it “The House of Sketch”

10 year comedy scene veteran Ben Morrison will be performing this weekend @ Capt. Brien's Seafood and Off the Hook Comedy Club. Headlining shows nightly Thursday through Sunday April 2-5, 2009.

Morrison's bio is solid with T.V credits, MTV's Punk'd, CSI N.Y. , lead/creator of ThoughtRocket for Current TV, and pilot role for Fox playing the son of comedian Robert Shimmel's character in HOBOS.

The N.Y. Tisch School of the Arts graduate has the future of his craft in mind opening himself up to his followers. Ben Morrison is a one man show to watch. Tuesday Nights Florida Comics Gather in Altamonte Springs

Stop by Bonkerz in Altamonte Springs and you will see a handful of local and touring comedians working their sets for the Clarion Inn crowd in the Why Not Lounge. This weekly ritual starts at 9:00p.m. on Tuesday nights and goes till the last comic on the list takes the stage. Can be 9 comics or it can be 21 comics. The line up is created by the Host that evening. Check the room, scout out the host and ask to be on the list. Rules of the room. National touring comics can bump newbies down the lineup. Example if your number 8 and say a touring comedian like Pedro Lima walks through the double black doors your now number nine if he is ready to light up the stage. Do not get discouraged consider the bump just more time for you to run your lines. You will get up eventually it may be 11:45 p.m. but you will see the spotlights. Get there early to increase your changes of performing infront of a bigger audience. The room is a warm happy place to work your craft. Call the club info line listed below for further details.
