Stop by Bonkerz in Altamonte Springs and you will see a handful of local and touring comedians working their sets for the Clarion Inn crowd in the Why Not Lounge. This weekly ritual starts at 9:00p.m. on Tuesday nights and goes till the last comic on the list takes the stage. Can be 9 comics or it can be 21 comics. The line up is created by the Host that evening. Check the room, scout out the host and ask to be on the list. Rules of the room. National touring comics can bump newbies down the lineup. Example if your number 8 and say a touring comedian like Pedro Lima walks through the double black doors your now number nine if he is ready to light up the stage. Do not get discouraged consider the bump just more time for you to run your lines. You will get up eventually it may be 11:45 p.m. but you will see the spotlights. Get there early to increase your changes of performing infront of a bigger audience. The room is a warm happy place to work your craft. Call the club info line listed below for further details.
